What is the maximum permissible gross weight of a trailer for this car?

view/show vehicle registration

What are the consequences of driving with a trailer that is too heavy?

road grip on the front wheels, directional stability is reduced, braking distance is increased, risk of glare due to the headlights being raised

How much payload can this car have in addition to us who are in the car now?

view/show vehicle registration

What disadvantages can you experience if you have too heavy a load in your car?

Driving characteristics are reduced, braking distance is increased, and there is a risk of glare if the headlights and front of the car are raised.

What is the maximum permissible gross weight of the trailer that you can tow behind this car with a class B driver's license?

View/display vehicle license or driver's license regulations

What are the consequences of driving with a trailer that has too much permissible total weight?

It is illegal, road grip is reduced, directional stability is reduced, braking distance is increased, and there is a risk of glare since the front is raised by the weight of the rear.

Check tires and rims for damage

Visual inspection, check if there is anything unnatural about the wheels

What injuries are most common?

Tears in the tire sidewall, dents in the rim lead to instability, bubbles in the sidewall of the tire, the reinforcement in the tire will then be greatly reduced.

Check the wear on both front wheels.

Visual check, are the wheels worn evenly in the pattern?

What can wear and tear tell you?

If the air pressure is low, the tires will be worn on the side. If the air pressure is too high, the tires will be worn in the middle. If they are worn on only one side, it can tell us that the front end may be out of alignment.

Check the tread depth on both rear wheels

Visual inspection, possibly using a depth gauge or wear indicator on the tires. The minimum allowed tread depth on summer tires is 1.6 mm and on winter tires it is 3.0 mm. In the tire pattern we also find small rubber lumps that indicate how worn the tire is.

What are the risks of driving with too little tread depth?

Poor road grip, increased risk of aquaplaning

Find the reflective vest

It should be accessible from the driver's seat, it can be located in the door, glove compartment, under the seat or in a separate compartment.

Where would you place the warning triangle if it were necessary to set it out?

It should be clearly visible to other road users. Outside built-up areas it should be between 100-200m from the car and the current situation. Within built-up areas the conditions should be considered.

What is the correct air pressure in the front tires on this car?

See the instruction manual or other marking on the car. (fuel cap or in the door frame/on the door)

Check that the air pressure in the front wheels is correct.

Visually: check if the tire is worn evenly, or use an air pressure gauge. Some tires are stock so you may need to have higher air pressure than stated.

Check whether both front wheels on the car have enough tread depth.

Visual inspection, depth gauge or tire wear indicator

What is the tread depth requirement for winter tires and summer tires?

Winter tires: min 3.0 mm, summer tires: min 1.6mm

What is the correct tire size for this car?

Checking the vehicle registration

Check that the front wheels on the car are the correct size.

Visual inspection.

What load capacity must the tires on this car have?

Check the vehicle registration. (def: min.li)

Check that the rear tires on the car have the correct load capacity.

Visual inspection. Read on the tire

Check that all brake lights are working.

Check that the brake lights on the left and right sides are working, as well as the high-mounted brake lights.

Is it safe to drive if the brake light is not working?

No. The fault could be a blown fuse or a light bulb that is not working.

Check that the emergency signal is working

Turn on the light, check all the lights outside the car

In which situations is it correct and important to use a distress signal?

In case of emergency stops to mark the car and that there is a situation that requires extra attention.

Check that the low beam is working and is set approximately correctly.

Turn on the low beam, drive into a wall etc. to see if there is light from both headlights.

What disadvantages will there be if the dipped beam is set incorrectly?

Glare to oncoming traffic, and visibility in the dark may be reduced

Check that the cornering/fog lights are working.

Turn on the lights/visual check

What disadvantages can there be if cornering/fog lights are used incorrectly?

Danger of glare, irritation or fine for incorrect use of light

Check that the rear fog light is working

Turn on the rear fog lights using the switch

What disadvantages can there be if the rear fog light is used incorrectly?

They can be very dazzling, especially if you are driving in a queue.

Check that the parking lights, tail lights and license plate lights are working.

These are the lights that come on automatically when you start the car. Check that they are working by walking around the car.

In which situations is it important that the parking light is in order?

Parking in the dark without other light sources

Check that the brake booster is working.

Press the brake pedal until it feels hard (5-6 times). Keep pressing the brake pedal while starting the car. The pedal should sink in

Is it safe to drive if this does not work? (justify)

Usually not, as this will reduce braking effect and make the pedal very heavy and hard.

Check the brake fluid level

Check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir under the hood of the car.

What will you do if the brake fluid level is too low?

It could be worn brake pads, which requires more fluid to "press" the brake pads against the brake discs. It could also be a leak. Take the car to a workshop for inspection.

Check for brake misalignment (when test braking)

Drive straight ahead at 30-40km/h and brake while keeping your hand on the steering wheel. The car should stay on a straight course.

What could be the cause of self-extraction?

There is a fault with the brakes so that they wear unevenly. If the car pulls to the left, the brakes are most worn on the left side. And most worn on the right side if it pulls to the right most. Visit workshop

Check that the warning lamp for the dual-circuit brake system is working

Identify the warning light (!), the same light as the parking brake/handbrake, make it come on and go off. Start the engine and release and release the handbrake

What will you do if the warning light (dual circuit brake system) starts to illuminate while driving?

Stop, find the cause. It could be that the dual-circuit system is not working, or that there is little brake fluid, or that the handbrake is faulty. It could be a technical fault or a defective control unit.

Check that the ABS brake warning light is working.

Identify the warning light that shows yellow text with ABS. Make it come on and then go off. It should come on when you turn the ignition on and it should go off automatically after a few seconds.

Is it safe to continue driving if the warning light starts to come on while driving?

Yes (orange lamp)

Check that the steering is in order when you test drive the car.

Steering wheel movement to both sides. Check steering play (max 2-3 cm), steering self-correction, noises and whether the car is directional stable.

What could be causing the car to pull to one side?

There may be a fault with the front adjustment or different air pressure on the left and right sides.

Check that the power steering is working

Start the engine while turning left or right. The steering wheel should become light as you start the car.

Is it safe to drive if this is not working?

Yes, but the steering will be very heavy. If the car has electromagnetic steering, this will not be safe, as this could further damage the steering.

Check that the window wiper is working properly.

Use the wiper event to check the different speeds

What do you check on the sanding sheets?

Wear, scratches, loose rubber, or streaks while wiping

Set the heater/defroster so that you can remove ice and fog from the windshield as efficiently as possible.

comfortable temperature

Show how you want to remove fog from the rear window

Press the button for the rear window heating wires

Show how you would remove fog and ice from the mirrors

Often the same button as the heating wires on the rear window. Possibly a separate button.

Check if the car is directional stable when you test drive.

Drive the car at 30 km/h with a loose grip on the steering wheel. The car should go straight ahead.

What could be causing the car to pull to one side?

There may be incorrect air pressure or incorrect wheel alignment.

Check that the battery is firmly seated.

Open the hood and try to push in the battery. It should not move.

What are the risks of driving with a dead battery?

There may be battery acid spillage which could cause a short circuit.

Check that the horn is working

press the steering wheel and the horn

Check that the light horn is working

Flashing the lights

Check that the windshield washer is working.

Executed

Show washer fluid refill location

Show container under the hood

Check all seat belts

Wear, tears and damage. Is the belt tensioner working? Check

What are the risks of using a seat belt with loose rollers?

The car will be loose and will not tighten well enough in the event of a collision

Find and install the warning triangle

is carried out

How far should you walk from the car before setting it up?

Mount it by the car, walk with the reflective side of the warning triangle in the direction you are going to show yourself. Put on the reflector before walking with the triangle

Put on the emergency signal

Performed by pressing the red triangle in the car

Which lights must not be on together with the emergency signal light? Give reasons

High or low beam will reduce the effect of the emergency signal. Ideally, you should have emergency lights alone, as this gives the best effect.

Check that the airbag warning light is working

Ignition on, the light should come on and then go out

Does it matter which passengers you place in the front seat if the car has airbags? Justify

Children and short people can be injured if the airbag is deployed.

Check the engine oil level

Should be between min and max on the engine oil dipstick

Show the engine oil filling point

show in the engine compartment where to fill oil
